Daily Duties at Chep Usa:

• Led enterprise recycling projects that created a sustainable solution for wood and metal waste generating $500k in revenue and $2+M in cost saving and avoidances. • Created company-wide CHEP Standard Operating Procedures for the South East Coast Operations. SOP manual was adopted by CHEP senior leadership and is in continuous use. • Led Lean Kizaen events, and trained others how to lead Lean events. o Kizaen examples - Quality Kizaen events resulted in approx $50k of savings. • Designed new process and safety equipment that generated $480 K in transport savings in the first year. • Participated on numerous Six Sigma Projects. o Examples of Six Sigma projects - Wood waste, Length of haul for flatbeds, and Environment mental sustainability with the military • As a member of the budget and cost savings team, helped the business achieve our $30m yearly target. Chosen to represent Southeast region for tracking project milestones and reporting to senior management on monthly basis Plant Operations Representative 2006-2010 Key member on the Plant’s Leadership Team and responsible for results and activities associated with a pallet manufacturing and distribution operation employing 100+ people and producing $500k annually of cost savings, directly responsible for quality, sanitation, regulatory compliance, utilities and capital projects. • Led Quality Assurance activities resulting in year on year service and quality standards at or above 100%. • Implemented a robust 5S program that progressed into a 6S program • Drove increased customer satisfaction with major customers like Sara Lee, Nestle, Kimberly Clark, and Tyson by meeting and exceeding commitments and proactively identifying and resolving client issues • Served as liaison between CHEP and 3rd party management group to ensure quality, employment and inventory standards were met and exceeded • Created a Safety Solution for flatbed trailers resulting in $492k in transportation savings the first year • Conducted FMEA, Failure Mode Effective Analysis, to identify problems resulting in significant savings and client retention.
