Daily Duties at Michaels:
Managed 150 non-exempt and 4 exempt associates in a 470,000 square foot building. Controlled, directed, and planned efforts to insure tasks were accomplished safely, accurately, and on time. Was responsible for a payroll in excess of 2 million dollars and product valued at more than 200 million dollars. Established goals for individuals and assessed performance under working conditions to insure labor standards were correct. Provided feedback during execution of duties to determine if tasks were understood and properly performed. Assessed team members' competency, motivation, and commitment to perform satisfactorily. Was responsible for hiring, training, and retention of a 2 shift operation. Was responsible for all facets of the operation from inbound to outbound. Had daily and weekly communication with our dryage company.
