Daily Duties at Department Of Correctional Education:

Responsible for providing educational leadership, supervision and guidance to seven Correctional Centers. Directly responsible for Sussex I and Sussex II State Prison. Duties include budget monitoring; staff evaluations; ensuring timely completion and submission of various administrative reports; monitoring class enrollment and maintaining associated data; coordinating various student services; and coordinating various activities, programs and events within the region. • Re-entry program working directly with Department of Corrections • School team leadership • Knowledge of current educational theory and practices; • Knowledge of assessment tools and procedures and data analysis; • Plan and supervise and evaluate educational programs and school staff; • Liaison and negotiator for Hispanic literacy programs. ` • GED, TABE and CRC Test Certified Examiner. • College program for incarcerated adults.
