Daily Duties at Grubb & Ellis:
Manages full scope of day-to-day business operations including employee relations, supervision of sales professionals, benefits programs and training with responsibility for $3 million budget and direct reports of 18 professional support staff. Responsible for the finance/accounting operations in conjunction with corporate finance department. Develops strategic plan in conjunction with other management staff members. Conducts financial analysis and creates financial reports as needed. In charge of recruitment, selection, orientation, motivation, mentoring and training office operations staff. Also responsible for terminations, performance appraisals and performance improvement plans. Negotiates supplier/vendor contracts, monitored for quality, implemented cost effective policies and procedures. Works with local managers to creatively solve problems as a business partner for efficient and effective business operations.
