Daily Duties at New York Life Insurance Company :
Selling life insurance, annuity, and long term care finance products to prospective clients and businesses. Agents work activities include: warm calls to natural market, cold calling prospects, making presentations to company-sponsored gatherings, canvassing online, subscription based lead services, working with special interest groups (Little League, Chambers) to compile lists of prospects and referrals, scheduling fact finding appointments, determine extent of current financial situation and investments; ascertain short/long term goals, build protection plan by calculating and quoting rates that meet immediate and long term strategy using planning station, designing financial solutions using illustration systems, packaging analysis and solution using proposal tool, conduct presentation of financial solution to clients using approved closing techniques, evaluate customer financial and health risks, complete application following regulatory guidelines, process application to determine customer insurability and obtain underwriting, fiduciary responsibility for all customer payments and fees, deliver policy and secure appropriate signatures following regulatory policies, maintain customer documentation and interaction for 3 years, schedule routine policy reviews, seek referral leads form new clients, capture and forecast pipeline, processing changes in beneficiary and policy changes, provides death benefits, reassessing client needs, participating in company and state provided educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks, participating in personal organizations.
