Daily Duties at Rite Aid:

Staff pharmacist is in charge in work flow of the pharmacy. Weekdays when physicians offices are open, obtaining refills and clarifying Rx. Working with the ancillary employees at what level they can perform. All tasks are review by the staff pharmacist. If ancillary staff are not trained in data entry when time permits, I would train them. Evening and weekends are times to perform record filing and replenishing stock for next day. Review drug order and ensure shortage of drugs are ordered if on back order make note to call physician next day and suggest alternative. Make list to call physician(s) on any order that is incomplete from the daytime shift. Perform weekly maintenance jobs such as pull out dates, organize refrigerator, stock vials and immunization cart. Clean counters. Stock printers and have access to papers for printers and Rx bags at reach.
