Daily Duties at Graybar Electric Company:

Receive and return calls regarding contracted communications, telephony, and data equipment being purchased for companies including but not limited to: Verizon, Cisco, ATT, Sprint, etc. Received orders via fax, phone, email, and EDI. Arranged for logistics and verified delivery time, point, contact, and other details necessary for stream-lined deliveries. Purchased replenishment stock from vendors (e.g.: Panduit, Wiremold, Senior Industries, APC, etc.). Was given "card blanche" in resolving any issues with customer complaints. Worked directly with internal customers (Finance, Shipping, Purchasing, Management, etc.) to ascertain a full-circle customer satisfaction experience. Worked directly under two outside salespersons with minimal supervision. Responded directly to the Supervisor and the Manager of the department.

What they like about Graybar Electric Company:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
