• Enforced safety management for the project • Eliminated hazards via daily safety meetings and tool/equipment inspections. • Performed proactive safety audits and inspections to mitigate potential incidents • Actively performed Work Area audits to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations • Performed Air Monitoring in order to establish Hot Work and Confined Space Permits • Created and implemented the site action plan for response to emergency situations. • Enforced HAZCOM guidelines particularly pertaining to Heat Transfer Fluid (HTF) and Anhydrous Ammonia. • Performed Air Monitoring in order to establish Hot Work Permits • Conducted safety management activities, including conducting daily safety meetings, tools and equipment inspections, and jobsite audits to correct hazards • Provided extensive personnel training on plant and company safety expectations in accordance with company policies, rules and regulations • Investigated accidents to determine causes and prepare reports of investigations for use in recommendation of preventive measures and the development of safety programs • Established permits for LO/TO and Safe Work Authorizations (SWAs). • Ensured HAZCOM compliance for work around Anhydrous Ammonia. • Managed respiratory compliance, including Fit Testing and creating/updating employee training database • Applied strategic planning, prioritization, and management skills toward conducting safety meetings, training, and orienting new employees. • Facilitated communication between company and client on safety-related issues and issued permits for Confined Space and Safe Work Authorizations (SWAs).
