Cummins Power Generation Work Values

Daily Duties at Cummins Power Generation:

C Diesel Department – Cummins Power Generation Small QD- Engine Mounting Station 1: Assemble filter pumps sleeving lives and test. I would assemble circuit board and battery cables. Next thing in this process is to set wooden skid on the line. Next I would set muffler mounts in and tighten it. Then I would prep one engine at the time, set it up to be mounting on the small ad drip pan. Station 3: Small QD Assembling Drip Pans On this station I would assembly fuel pumps and fuel lines into a small QD drip pan? Next I would dip hoses into oil and assemble them together with fuel pump into a drip pan. Then next thing in this process is to get drip pan ready for an engine to be dropped into a drip pan. Then I would lift the engine on the mounting station, and then lower it down and tighten bolts on the bottom of a drip pan. Station 4: Small QD Wall Station I would assemble walls on the right side of an engine. Then I would assemble rest of the plastics and hoses that goes into this station. Station 5: Small QD Harness Station On this station I would connect a harness to an outside of engine. Station 6: Small QD Assembling End Caps On this station I would continue setting harness o the engine, and then I would hook up fuel pump wires. Next thing in this process I would hook up governer wires, then I would connect ground plug on the engine, and tighten the hoses after that. After this process is done I install end cap onto a left side of a small SQ engine/generator. Testing the SQ Engine Next thing before testing the engine I would hook up coolant pressure test, the disconnect coolant pressure test, fill up the oil, then I would go into test room to hook up electric wires and connect the generator to the computer and generator is set to be tested, if the SQ engine/generator passed the test then I would send it to the shipping. Shipping In the shipping I would put foams, panels, labels, and bolt it down from every side of a generator, then some of the generators SQ got crated and some do not get crated. After this process is done next thing is for a forklift driver to put generators onto a Johnson card and send it into a warehouse/shipping department. In my 4 years in the C Diesel department I also build Big QD, Rockets and Ranger generators.
