Daily Duties at Innovative Senior Care:

Oversee clinical, and office staff and train on use of coding resources, quality assurance software (SHP), and bill release processes. Maintain and increase productivity through analyzing market for supply and demand of staff, spending. Oversee therapy utilization through Oasis evaluation and F scores. Maintain compliance through chart auditing, implementing monthly in-services to both administrative and clinical staff, supported QA nurse; Lead case conference, responsible for annual PAC meeting, familiarized clinicians with paper work and processes; approve budget, payroll, correct Variance and Oasis Error Reports. Review of infection, incident, grievance, and adverse event reports with trending and formulating the quarterly Performance Improvement Plan and I lead the annual PAC meeting to maintain compliance. My value increased through participating in all webinars regarding ICD9 Coding and OasisC, implemented by Lisa Selman Holman and attending seminars for ICD9 coding taught by Sparkle Sparks and Lisa Selman Holman. Through implementing appropriate checklists, I reduced the final outstanding bills from over 300 to under 20 in 3 months, and ensured that Care Plans were returned in a timely manner. I received “Nurse of the Year Award” for the central and eastern divisions. (32 CEU’s in ICD9 Coding). I supported the facilities of Brookdale Senior Living in Ft. Myers, through participating in events for the residents, weekly meetings with the directors. I also performed and educated staff in performing Comprehensive Assessments and implementing Care Plans as appropriate.
