Daily Duties at Gcfa:

• Administer Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Servers, Active Directory, SharePoint Servers, and network security devices for 120 users • Migrated from Windows 2003 to 2008 R2 Servers/Exchange 2010 Server with Blackberry Smartphone Integration Services, Windows Server Updates Services (WSUS), and Microsoft Operations Manager • Maintain inventory purchases/installation of all hardware and software • Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and load balance devices • Tracked and mapped network devices and functions using LANsurveyor to automatically update changes to the network as well as detect new and failing devices • Manage user’s accounts/mailboxes through Active Directory with Exchange/Outlook 2010 • Lowered spam by 75% using firewall filtering/tracking systems with Track-it software with real-time spam black lists for incoming/outgoing email • Responsible for evaluating, installing and supporting local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software and for ensuring the information and data integrity of the network operations function • Analyze, log, track and resolve both software and hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printers, copier/fax/scanner, servers and applications to meet business needs • Backup and restore network data with Symantec Backup Exec 10.0., administer Sage ACT! 2010 database of 30,000 contacts with weekly synchronization • Install, test, upgrade and configure system files and services to enhance performance • Planned and tested Data Recovery, SAN
