Daily Duties at Iwp/Soliant Health:
Review, authenticate, and disburse medications via mail for injured workers. Resolve patient issues and counseling patients on prescription medications over the phone. Call physician offices daily for prescription requests, any patient prescription issues, and transcribe prescription orders via phone. Enter correct drug strength and dosage per patients’ medication profile and prescription order. Oversee pharmacy technicians’ day to day workload to ensure the shipment of daily ordered patient prescriptions. Assisted in training new pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns. Thorough knowledge of computerized drug-distribution system, drug-utilization evaluation, complex equipment and delivery systems, emerging medications, and regulations governing pharmacy services. Served as an effective advocate between patients and doctors offices to ensure continuity of care.
