Daily Duties at Petra Fashions:

In September of 2004 Assumed responsibility of IT Manager. Responsible for software and maintenance contracts, equipment acquisitions, outsourcing consultant contracts, project lead times and all other responsibilities of the senior developer. Responsible for complete project lifecycle of application development, enhancement, deployment and database design using Synergy DE DBL, Visual basic 6.0, SQL Server 7.0, Crystal Reports and other similar MS technologies. Responsible for new hardware and software installations and upgrades for corporate PC network, maintenance of existing mainframe, servers, networks printers and scanning equipment. Redesigned numerous business applications from VMS to Windows utilizing the current RMS data structures, Visual Basic 6.0, Crystal Reports, ASP, VB-Script, SQL Server and Solutions-IQ “CONNX-ODBC” middle-ware. Developed real time internet shopping application using HTML, ASP, VB-Script, CONNX–RMS and SQL Server data structures. This reduced customer service calls 65% for order placement. Developed the Consultant Support Section on the corporate web site. These tools gave the consultants access to data queries which allowed then to better manage there business. This reduced the need for monthly mailing of statistical reports and reduced the calls to customer service and the companies “Contest Recognition Department”. Redesigned and implemented a new inventory control system utilizing RF technologies to increase the turnover of inventory releases. Redesigned and implemented a new manifest/shipping system to be integrated with UPS’s World Ship utilizing RF technologies. This eliminated the timely typing involved with shipping from 3 different order processing systems. The changes increased the volume potential for the shipper by 35% with 100% accuracy. Handled the move of the IT infrastructure consisting of servers, network switches, warehouse RF system, and all other peripherals for company from one location to another and had the company operational within 24 hours. Point person for all Y2K Challenges. Daily help desk responsibilities for end users, including all custom and third party software, hardware, network issues and all Adhoc report requests from upper management. Liaison and backup to the IT manager for all departmental functions
