Daily Duties at Massachuetts Bay Transportation Assoc.:

Responsible for system administration Fare collection network that managed data collection from all fare vending, gates and fare boxes from a fare collection system written and designed by an out side vendor (Scheidt & Bachmann). Responsible for management of the Domain and security policies that controlled access to the fare collection network for data management and reporting. Point person to the AFC Technical Project Manager, point person and manager of the CharlieCard registration and online purchase and fulfillment web site. Duties included OS updates, cluster management; software release testing from out side vendor, maintaining and replacing of older failed equipment, user maintenance on AFC domain and AFC Applications, security of AFC Domain Other duties included enhancements to custom inventory control and incident/maintenance control for all fare vending, gate and fare box equipment. Ad-hoc reporting and data mining from the AFC data collected from ridership and ticket/smartcard usage in the system on monthly bases, Assisted other personnel with PCI system compliance. Atlantic Associates contract employee for (MBTA), Boston Ma 2006 -- 2008. Public transportation for Boston and surrounding area Software developer (Oct. 2006–Dec. 2008) Responsible developing and implementing a custom inventory system for tracking fare vending, gate, fare box, computers and spare parts inventory for the AFC system for the MBTA. The system managed locations, status and tracking of repairs of equipment and parts to and from the outside vendor (Scheidt & Bachman). Designed and implemented a maintenance tracking system using VB Script and HTML. The inventory and maintenance tracking systems where tied together thru a spare parts reservation system and kept track of the replaced units and the location for retrieval of units for repair. On completion of the above project I then started to work closely with the AFC Technical Project Manager with the job responsibilities above.
