Daily Duties at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center:

Preserving the use of equipment in order to not abuse resources within my department. Report situation, background,assessment and recommendation to the uncoming therapist so as to deliver quality care our patient. Participate in rounds to evaluate if patient condition is improving or deteriorating; while making suggestions as to plan of care. Directly communication patient trends to our doctors and intencivist. Able to deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostice procedures. Highly capable of administering prescibed doses of medical gases and aerosol drugs. Able to measure ventilatory volumes, pressures and blood gas analysis; monitors, records and communicates patient condition and general acceptance of treatment. I have the ability to perform variety of duties related to settingup, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment. Can provide age and culturally appropiate care; oreints and mentors new staff members into the department and instill the vision of the organization during oreintation. Can follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
