Daily Duties at Alphatech Corporation/Caci:

When the AntiVirus Program Manager was on leave, I assumed the responsibilities and duties of the Program Manager for the Department of State’s AntiVirus Team. These duties put me in charge of issuing/troubleshooting the Department of State provided BlackBerry devices to all VIRT members. I was the Primary Point-of Contact for ScanMail, AdAware (anti-spyware software); Senior Editor of the AV Chronicles newsletter which is distributed world-wide; in charge of coordinating events for the twice-yearly Symantec AntiVirus Software HomeUse GiveAway; wrote the Weekly Activity Report (WAR) which is sent to upper IRM management; drafted ALDACs (telegrams) to be sent world-wide concerning various computer antivirus issues; conducted briefings at the Foreign Service Institute for the students at the campus; answered telephone calls from SysAdmins and end-users world-wide about any virus or spam issue; reviewed Change Reports that are submitted to the Information Technology Change Control Board (ITCCB) and provided comments to the AntiVirus Program Manager; contacted Information Management Officers and Office Directors world-wide to inform them when their antivirus software is out of compliance; and conducted weekly briefings to Foreign Service Officers about the AntiVirus Program. As a member of Business Development, I created an MS Access Database that served as a tool for all Alphatech management to easily access and view each and every contract that Alphatech has been awarded. Queries were run and reports generated on anything related to Alphatech’s past performance. This information contained, but is not limited to: Contract Number; Technologies Used; Open/Closed Status; Points-of-Contact; and Hyperlinks to Intranet Web Pages. This database replaced the 325-page “All Experience Highlights” document. I also had assisted in editing and preparing “Past Performance Evaluations” for prospective clients, as well as conducted research on the Critical Infrastructure Protection Program’s of various government agencies. As needed, reviewed possible contract leads and makes necessary updates to WinAward. As an Administrative Officer, I supported all branch activities of the Systems Integrity Division by maintaining project folders and keeping up to date on the status of over 100 office-wide projects, compiled bi-monthly reports for the office, handled the reserving of rooms, prepared agendas, took the minutes of various meetings and maintained the Procedure Manuals. I developed and maintained various databases in Microsoft Access. He also answered any technical (i.e. hardware/software) questions that came up. This work was accomplished using Windows 95 and the Microsoft Office ‘97 Professional Suite.
