Daily Duties at The Schwan Food Company, Inc.:

Responsible for servicing customers of the company by going to their homes or places of business every two weeks to sell them. It was like a grocery store on wheels with over 350 products to choose from. Was responsible for cold door knocking to gain new customer acquisition. Was responsible for meeting / exceeding sales quotas set by manager. We were expected to run our routes like we owned them. We had extreely minimal supervision and we were all straight commission. We had to service every customer or someone else would. It made us give extra ordinary customer service that our customers loved. We also had a winning culture in our depot that cascaded down to the front line. My manager was very good at playing us against each other. He loved messing with me because I was so competitive and he knew I always wanted to be # 1. He would often time let me know when soneone else had a good day because he knew it would get me going. I also was Responsible for inventory management, customer satisfaction, safety, daily deposits.
