Dispatcher (04/95-05/98) - coordinated the movement of 26 cargo vans and 3 line haul straight trucks in delivery and pickup of 19,000+ time-sensitive shipments on a daily basis, utilized two-way radio & phone to assist drivers with questions/directions for deliveries and routed drivers for on-demand pickups, performed check-out procedures with drivers to ensure successful pickup requests, log of attempted deliveries, and completion of vehicle inspection reports, coordinated with customers fielding inquiries and complaints regarding deliveries and pickups PM Operations Manager (05/98-11/00) - managed a team including disptacher, dock supervisor, and 26 drivers to ensure to successful pickup of shipments on a daily basis, supervised outbound operations including weighing, packaging, & securing of shipments and completed aircraft load plan to insure proper weight distribution, reviewed vehicle inspection reports and communicated daily with vehicle maintenance supervisor regarding necessary repairs and routine maintenance, performed periodic route analysis utilizing stop-gap reports and ride-a-longs with drivers to maximize workforce utility, enforced company policy and safety procedures and resolving employee misconduct issues with appropriate disciplinary actions Administrative Director (11/00-07/04) - Managed a team of 13 terminal managers in NC, SC, GA, & FL regarding personnel, payroll, and risk management, generated revenue projection, risk analysis, and aging reports and advised this info to officers of the company on a daily basis, developed and enforced company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with USDOT, NCDOT, & OSHA regulations, developed and managed pre-employment and background screening program for new hire employees, acted as liaison for defense council for all legally challenged labor, workers’ compensation, & unemployment claims, managed payroll processing for 240 employees and independent contractors on a semi-monthly basis, investigated and filed all auto & workers’ compensation claims, worked in team including officers of the company in considering new contracts utilizing route analysis and on-site review of operations that were open for bid
