Daily Duties at Accretive Health:

• Verify the eligibility of patient insurances and determine proper course of action to ensure financial responsibility for prescheduled services for an average of 94 accounts per day across 2 hospital facilities • Secured critical insurance pre-certifications and pre-authorizations at an average rate of 36 accounts per day for specific prescheduled patient services to reduce denial rate and rescheduling of appointments • Implemented the on-boarding of 3 new hospitals as well as loading them into a new system to streamline the work flow • Authored site handbook as a quick guide for employee reference to be utilized in training and cross training • Accountable for QA process across 2 sites to ensure accounts are worked properly covering insurance, authorizations, and patient financial responsibility
