Daily Duties at Mta New York City Transit:

1. Maintained the network which included working and installing of Nortel switches and routers, fiber cables. 2. Installation of network infrastructure including WAN links, internal cabling infrastructure, Monitoring and maintaining Ethernet hardware (NIC, hub, Switches RJ-45 cabling and converters), Patch Panels, Cisco routers and configuring of printers. 3. Worked closely with project manager in planning and designing Data communication network throughout all NYC transit facilities (Bus depots, train station & yards and offices) network connectivity diagrams with Microsoft Visio. planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work; 4. Worked with TCP/IP routing including IP addressing and using Fluke analyzer to test for network connectivity analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password;undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing, maintaining and monitoring network security, particularly if the network connects to the internet; 5. Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment and devices.Supports administration of servers and server clusters Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems. ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of servers;
