Daily Duties at Boston University:
Led the design, cloning, and testing of components of a novel RNA detection technology in bacteria (E. coli) and yeast (Saccharomyces cereviciae). Building on extensive laboratory experience, defined project focus, designed experimental approaches, utilized research techniques, and analyzed/interpreted data for presentation and/or publication. Honed scientific knowledge and research skills, gaining proficiency in various cellular and molecular biology techniques. Collaborated with other research associates or maintains self-guided focus as required to conduct research in alignment with overall project scope. Trained, mentored, and supervised three graduate and four undergraduate students.
