Daily Duties at Carleton Life Support Systems :
Analog and Digital Circuit, and Software, Specification, Design, Test, Support, and Qualification to FDA, and Commercial (FAA-RTCA) standards. Oxygen, and Inert Gas Products – Now Cobham Mission Systems Projects Included • Lead E.E. on T.I. TMS320C2808 Based Controller Monitor for Oxygen Concentrator System –AC-DC Power supply for controller monitor to Mil-704 and Mil-461. • AC-DC Power Supply Design for Inert Gas Generating System to Mil-704 and Mil-461. • Preliminary Software Qualification of personal Oxygen System – Recommended Implementation of Code coverage testing. • Lead Electrical Engineer on Companies first On-Board-Inert-Gas-Generating System done to RTCA DO-254 Firmware Safety Standard(Level A system, With Level D Monitor) Design includes EMC Qualification to DO-160 – Work with Certifying Authorities, Customer, Other Lead Engineers, and Consultants, to Develop Plan for Hardware Aspects of Certification, System Safety Assessment, Hardware Verification Plan, and other Certification Documents. Work with consultant staff to develop Controller/Monitor Hardware Requirements based on above. Oversee Verification of controller/monitor design per above. Design used to verify 787 OBIGGS Oxygen Sensor prior to production start. (Rad-Tolerant Actel Pro-ASIC3 FPGA HDL, Synthesis, Place and Route, and Board Layout, DC-DC power supply design,EMI analysis and qual.) • Medical (MedEvac) Oxygen System – Perform FDA related Failure Analysis for Components, Production Support, Other Duties as Required, FDA related Design Change Decision Support • Aid in identifying tools and capital equipment for proper in-lab, and production, prototype, test equipment, and end equipment manufacturing and servicing. Aid in ordering components for prototype builds, and pilot runs. • Clarify work instructions for proper in-lab, and on production floor end equipment manufacturing and servicing. • Write technical considerations for operations documentation for system use. • Prepair change orders to support factory production per FDA or FAA and ISO requirements
