Daily Duties at Cushman & Wakefield Sun Microsystems:

Works with Portfolio Director and HR Manager, Client Company, and Cushman & Wakefield Asset Services group to insure that objectives of each are being met in HR area. Responded to employee/manager calls/ inquires and ER investigations within a 24-hours. • Acts as a consultant to Portfolio Director in regard to issues in regard to cost containment including training, recruitment, employee recognition, etc. • Recruiting and retention. Works with manager, advertising agents, staffing agents. Coordinate interviews and performs initial screening. Manage career builder, local newspaper, intranet job postings. • Schedule and conduct new hire orientations and benefit review to foster positive attitudes towards company goals, culture and mission statement. Update orientation. • Enter new employee data and employee transactions into HRIS (Data Peep and Corporate PeopleSoft) which consists of creation of new personnel files, insures completion of all new hire paperwork, produces and tracks all offer letters, and ensures all new information is input into various databases and tracking programs • Prepare, maintain and track of personnel transactions such as promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. • Coordinate Workers’ Compensation claim through 3rd party administrator. Maintain data on Workers’ Compensation related leaves and report to EH&S Manager monthly. • Maintain company leave of absences files (relating to leaves of absences such as maternity, personal, medical, etc.) with managers, employees, and corporate benefits department. • Works with employees, insurance representatives and insurers to resolve problems with services, billing errors or other issues. Conducts or oversees annual benefit open enrollment, • Plans, organizes and implements employee relations activities; investigates and resolves employee relations issues and advises departments on disciplinary matters. • Conducts job analysis studies to determine duties, responsibilities, and requirements of new and existing positions. Documents study information concerning job content and writes or updates job descriptions. Makes recommendations on the placement of jobs in exempt or non-exempt status based on fair labor standards act requirements. • Plans and conducts training sessions. Audits potential training courses. Coordinates planning of training sessions. Develop training presentations. • Prepares EAF forms for all reasons – New Hires, Transfers, Terminations, Layoffs, Payroll Changes etc. and submits via e-mail to corporate office for processing. • Provides support to corporate benefits administration by being point of contact for portfolio employees and corporate benefits group. Distributes benefits worksheets via email and provides training to new employee on completing benefits worksheet. Distributes benefits confirmation forms via email. Keeps a signed paper copy of each form in employee’s master medical file, and an electronic copy of each. • Provides support to corporate payroll by being point of contact for portfolio employees and corporate payroll representative. Answers payroll questions of both groups and is liaison for property employees and payroll if difficulties arise. • Provides support to corporate compensation group by performing necessary compensation analysis for new employees/new positions and submitting analysis for approval by corporate group. Works with client to make sure salaries for transitioning/new employees meets budgetary requirements. • Advisor to facility managers and property employees on employee relations issues including disciplinary action and terminations. • Advisor to facility managers on employee appraisals and writing/editing employee job descriptions. • Performs recruiting functions as necessary upon approval from client.
