Daily Duties at Cushman&Wakefield Sun Microsystems:

Works with Account Director, Client Company, and Cushman & Wakefield Asset Services group to insure that objectives of each are being met in HR area. • Acts as a consultant to Account Director in regard to issues in cost containment including training, recruitment, employee recognition, etc. • Provides strategic guidance, direction, and facilitation to leadership team to maximize operational and structural efficiencies. • Conducts semiannual employee trend survey and analyzes data to develop and recommend action plans to address areas of issue/concern. • Serves as the final point of escalation to resolve employee relations issues and to ensure that all employees are treated equitably across the account. • Develops and delivers appropriate training to address developmental needs (including Behavioral Interviewing for Managers, Supervisory Training/Employee Relations 101, New Hire Orientation, Respect & Dignity, etc. • Updates and disseminates monthly organization charts. • Manages annual merit review process, ensuring all employees are given Performance Assessment Competency Evaluations and that their merit increases / bonuses (if any) are processed on time. • Approves PeopleSoft tranactions and employee action ocuments for processing. • Manages $75,000 Tuition Assistance Program and annual budget. • Serves as intermediary between Corporate C&W HR and C&W @ Sun employees, filtering and disseminating appropriate communications. • Keeps Managing Director, Human Resources apprised of termination and layoff activity. • Manages layoffs and terminations to assure compliance with law and treatment of departing employees with respect and dignity. • Plans, organizes and implements employee relations activities; investigates and resolves employee relations issues and advises departments on disciplinary matters. • Manages biweekly corporate payroll transmittal, working closely with Database Analyst. • Provides support to corporate compensation group by performing necessary compensation analysis for new employees/new positions and submitting analysis for approval by corporate group. Works with client to make sure salaries for transitioning/new employees meets budgetary requirements. • Serves as Advisor to facility managers and property employees on employee relations issues including disciplinary action and terminations. • Serves as Advisor to facility managers on employee appraisals and writing/editing employee job descriptions.
