Daily Duties at Prysmian Power Cable & Systems:

Supervised Lower level Engineers and Technicians in testing High/medium voltage cable using High voltage Resonance Test System, Dielectric DC Test Set, Megger Insulation Test SET, High voltage /High current injection Test set and digital Low resistance Ohmmeter. (DLRO). • Coordinated and make schedules for the shift Technicians. • Write/developed test plans, Certified test reports (CTR), standard Operating procedures (SOP) and prepares shop orders/CDAs as reference standards for Testers and Customers. • Directed the Quality specialist in developing /upgrading CTRs/CDAs to ensure that it’s in compliance with AEIC CS9 and Insulated Cable Engineers Association ( ICEA S-108-720). • Directed lower level Engineers and Technicians in performing - Partial discharge test on Cables utilizing (Resonance and Cable Test Termination/WC method. - AC withstand test on high voltage Cable utilizing (Resonance and Cable Test Termination/WC method). - Insulation Power factor and Tan delta test utilizing (Resonance system, Cable test termination/WC and standard Capacitor as reference point). - DC voltage test on cable jackets, DC resistance test on laminates, concentric neutral and phase conductors. - Test and trouble shoot the High voltage Resonance System during production period to ensure products meet define specification. - Utilized various software for quality measurement to analyze and report non conformance items and perform testing on special cables.
