Daily Duties at Lucent Technologies:

Fulfilled multiple roles encompassing project management, staff training, customer service, and administrative functions for leading provider of mobile, fixed, IP, and optics technologies.  Project Engineer/Manager: Served as technical lead for multiple concurrent projects, working with global customers in design, development, and installation of telecommunications solutions. Supervised team of 5 engineers, delegated tasks, led weekly progress meetings, and ensured revenue and customer satisfaction goals were met. - Directed projects from inception to completion and held full responsibility for asset and material management, program administration, scheduling, and manufacturing; performed site surveys and interfaced with customers to ensure quality and satisfaction.  Systems Equipment Engineer Analyst/Specwriter: Compiled customer information from telephone equipment orders (TEOs) and created equipment configurations for global customers with digital central offices using ILECs and competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs). Developed SOWs and delivered technical support for installation/field personnel. Performed site visits and updated customer records within document management system (DMS). - Contributed specialized expertise in multiple engineering disciplines including interconnection solutions for optical networking and wireless and data equipment for stand-alone applications such as digital access and cross-connect systems, optical line systems, cell sites, and SONET/SDH.  Systems Equipment Engineer, Wireless International: Utilized customer information from TEOs to create equipment configuration proposals for wireless cell site customers. Analyzed, created, and performed quality checks of detailed technical specifications per customer requirements on wireless products. Provided price quotes and tier one support to clients regarding configurations and product updates. Performed site surveys.  Training Coordinator: Functioned as key member of engineering team tasked with developing core curriculum instructional program for Lucent employees to increase staff proficiency in job task analysis. Mentored personnel and coached new employees on international team.

Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary.
