Daily Duties at Hollywood Mental Health Center:
Scope: Provide services & treatment to adult chronically mentally-ill clients. Population served includes the homeless, undocumented immigrants, & the gay, lesbian, & transgender cummunity of Los Angeles with various clinical & case management needs. Specific functions: Intake, assessment, & multi-axial diagnosis including co-occurring dual & triple diagnosis; triage & psychiatric crisis including certification for involuntary 72-hour holds; care determination for medical urgencies; case, referral, & resource management; client-family medication & treatment compliance counseling; disability evaluation for client SSI applications; treatment planning & utilization review for assigned cases with other members of the multidisplinary staff; counseling, individual, group, & family; maintenance of documentation per regulatory guidelines.
