● Preserved customer satisfaction by actively procuring, monitoring, and expediting products purchased to maintain or improve production schedules. ● Established close relationships with suppliers to reduce cost, increase quality, and improve on-time delivery. ● Evaluated and managed the supplier base for a wide variety of commodities including: passive and active electronic components, mechanical - fabricated and off the shelf products, fabricated sheet metal, circuit boards, cables, optics, turnkey assemblies, controls, custom enclosures, software, hardware, lab supplies, raw materials, and MRO. ● Analyzed supplier metrics, forecasts, inventory levels, production schedules, and spend for opportunities to save time, money, and meet company goals. ● Led and participated in cross functional teams to increase efficiencies throughout the value stream. ● Increased effectiveness by participating in quality audits at supplier facilities to ensure production capabilities for negotiated schedules. ● Collaborated with quality to write the ISO procedures and job description for the purchasing department. ● Instructed new employees to the department in all functions related to the purchasing process.
