Daily Duties at Merck And Co., Inc.:

* Participate in the Clinical Trial Team, representing clinical department in decisions relevant to assigned molecule(s), study (s), and program(s); Maintain and provide scientific expertise in sub-teams; Lead team(s) and working groups as needed * Develop publication and meeting presentations, in order to facilitate clinical research physician in scientific leadership and investigator initiatives, meetings, and conferences; Present at internal/external scientific meetings * Author /write clinical protocols, clinical study reports [CSR’s], regulatory agency update reports, investigator brochures [IB’s], and miscellaneous clinical manuscripts; Respond to clinical questions from internal /external partners and stake holders as appropriate; Communicate with study sites regarding study specific issues and ensure rapid resolution of clinical issues arising from the field * Collaborate and provide scientific oversight as needed with team members in the on-going review & monitoring of safety data and narratives as part of medical monitoring and other safety and compliance requirements to identify and manage trends, violators, outliers, & safety events (AE’s/SAE’s) and ensure proper completeness * Liaise with external vendors (including CROs, central lab, and IVRS vendor) to assure contract fulfillment in accordance with protocol requirements, and provide guidance / issue resolution on scientific aspects of the clinical study * Contribute to the on-going development, enhancement, and/or review of other functional area deliverables (to include data collection case report forms CRF’s, informed consent forms ICFs, CSR tables, etc) to ensure consistency with the protocol, and in team processes, SOP’s, and other guidance & development procedures; Ensure deliverables contain consistent language and criteria across teams and projects
