Daily Duties at Avery Healthcare Associates, P.C. :

• Opened the medical practice, making sure that patient verification process has been done one to two days prior to the patient’s appointment. • Collected funds from patients for office visit and scheduled follow-up appointments. • Obtained valid information from patients via phone calls during the scheduling process, collecting pertinent documents from patients for the physician during the registration process; ie: emergency release paperwork, contacting local hospitals to obtain x-ray and lab results. • Helped cut down waiting room time by using (Phreesia) electronic patient registration system • Updated medical office administrative paperwork via word and excel programs • Trained medical student externs on the day to day clinical and business actions of the medical practice. • Assisted the physician with administrative responsibilities such as writing refusal letters or letters of concern to the medical board.
