Daily Duties at Maryland Dept. Budget & Management:
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with State regulations • Audit claims for a $900 million Employee Health Program • Audit samples of claims submitted by the (7) healthcare plans and report findings to the audit manager • Discuss reconciliation or reimbursement of disallowed claims with HC plans • Approve and account for daily transactions for State health premiums • Assist in the evaluation and selection of audit firm • Assist with special concerns, task or projects, e.g., developing more concise worksheets
