Daily Duties at St. Olaf College Gear Up:

– Successfully secured four new partnerships for GEAR UP program and contributing over $550,000 in match in-kind/donations from partnerships for three years. – Assisted and coordinated new partnerships with six college and universities partners for in-kind/donations. – Coordinated college access outreach events with partners such as Great Lakes, Neighborhood House, Junior Achievement, Century College PACE, Inver Hills PACE, MN Youth Care. – Coordinated, executed and ran an Internship Camp for one week in June 2011 for 20 high school juniors. Managed 12 camp dorm and classroom staff. – Provided training to Advisor I and Advisor II, interns, volunteers and student workers and match in-kind/donations procedures and day-to-day program services. – Designed, coordinated, and implemented match in-kind/donation documentation and procedures. – Successfully implemented the GEAR UP sponsored field trip/events program service that serve the target schools with extra funding for field trips and events about college awareness. – Maintained collaborative relationships with school, community, and partner personnel. – Coordinated on-site communication with teachers, principals, counselors, and other key staff at the two schools and existing and potential partners. – Attended and participated in community events, forums, and colloquiums. – Lead and coordinated partnership meetings and other related events with new and current partners. – Work with community partners to promote college awareness to other outreach programs.
