Daily Duties at Cvs Caremarks:
· Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care, according to professional standards and state and federal legal requirements.· Evaluate and reviews providers’ orders to assure accuracy and determine the formulas and ingredients needed. Conducts Drug Utilization Review (DUR) on all prescriptions to provide accurate, adequate, and timely drug information to the physicians and pharmacy customer patients.· Coordinates the activities of assigned pharmacy technicians engaged in the preparation, mixing, packaging, and labeling medications in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. · Complies with all record keeping requirements for controlled substances. · Works and collaborates with pharmacy manager to meet departmental performance goals including sales, item count, customer count and service and to improve operations and profitability. · Ensures customer satisfaction, maintains working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals. · Actively participates in helping the community as a drug expert consultant and vaccine advocates and administrator.
