Daily Duties at Illinois One Family One Child (Iofoc):

Assists youth with determining educational goals and creates an education plan for implementation, as well as providing academic planning and tutoring assistance Works with the Youth Mentor and Life Skills Development program director in providing mentor and aftercare services as needed to teens who are incarcerated at Illinois Youth Centers throughout the state Assesses youth needs while inside the correctional facility and coordinates with youth and IOFOC to implement an aftercare plan upon release Assists in the development of grant proposals, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, white papers and the development of other program related literature. Assists in proposing and developing the general program plan for outreach to foster care providers (those who are already licensed and those interested in becoming licensed) and works with the executive director to determine and implement the best strategies for outreach and recruitment of program participants Assists in making presentations to target audiences Researches best practices in the areas of juvenile justice and foster care Serves as the IOFOC principal investigator for matching suitable families with youths who need a permanent home Maintains records of all activities and makes regular reports for updating and keeping the executive director and board of directors informed of all work/activities and progress
