Daily Duties at North Central Tire:

I took care of all banking needs, and loan maintenace including weekly borrowing bases in an Asset based borrowing environment. I was also the sole person trained and ordered product for the 3 locations and also was sole person trained to receive product into the system, for all three locations. • Coordinated all aspects of monthly closings and financial reporting. • Supervised staff of 5 Direct Reports (Office Manager, accounts receivable, accounts payable, national accounts, and IT Manager). Plus the resposibility and well being of 120 hourly employees • Analyzed trends and areas for cost improvements. • Prepared and reported monthly sales taxes and tire fee taxes to local and state government agencies. • Worked closely with the Controller with balance sheet and profit and loss statements, including inventory. • Performed monthly bank reconciliations and served as a liaison between Chase Bank and North Central Tire preparing all supporting documentation to validate the amount of weekly borrowings. • Worked with bank auditors and outside auditors during audit process. • Coordinated collections on delinquent accounts with company sales representatives and collection agencies, when applicable. • Reconciled inventory at multiple domestic warehouse locations and performed adjusting entries to balance the general ledger with the perpetual inventory system. • Performed all adjustments to inventory; initiated and approved all intercompany transfers of product between distribution locations. • Evaluate organizational requirements, employee needs and skills based on volume and deadlines. Determine necessary modifications to enhance workflow on a consistent basis. • Formulate operational requirements, policies and procedures within the scope of responsibility. • Track performance and review results for each client account and recommend organizational changes as necessary to ensure achievement of established goals and objectives. Provide updates to direct reports and senior management on interpretation of results and approve changes in direction of plans. • Participate and share in the development, documentation and execution of departmental and company long-range plans. • Assume responsibility for outside vendor performance for assigned accounts. Monitor and coordinate vendor activity through direct reports to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of services while staying within budgetary limits. • Establish objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities. Issue specific annual objectives to direct reports and review objectives of the accounting/ operations management team. • Assist in the recruiting, interviewing and selection process regarding qualified personnel for all positions directly reporting to this position and also those reporting to the Controller. • Provide orientation and on the job training for direct reports and ensure the authority and responsibility for each position are defined and understood.
