As the first staff member of this start-up nonprofit, assembled staff, set policy, raised funds, and set up curriculum in economic development and historic preservation to be presented to local entities across the state. Established program-standards and application-procedures for commercial districts interested in being considered for the Main Street program. Provided training, consulting and support to membership-communities. Lobbied local, state, and federal government for the interests of small-town commercial centers and urban historic commercial centers. Partnered in programming with many governmental and policy making organizations across Rhode Island.
