Daily Duties at Pennsylvania State University:
- Analysis of Bridge Performance under the Combined Effect of Earthquake and Scour - Finite element model and analysis of bridge is done using SAP2000. - Evaluating the effect of scour on seismic performance of bridge. - Design of foundations and evaluation of soil/structure interaction. - Design and evaluation of formation of plastic hinges in bridge pier. - Scour analysis using Hydraulic Engineering Circular manual (HEC-RAS). - Familiarization with American Petroleum Institute (API) Guidelines, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) database and United States Geological Survey (USGS) database.
