Daily Duties at Drug Enforcement Administration:

After joining DEA as a special agent, I conducted and guided complex drug conspiracy investigations. My skills have been valued by DEA, who has called on me to lead and assist in special and sensitive projects, including issues involving foreign governments, which require legal and investigative competence as well as people skills. I am sought out for my legal counsel and investigative knowledge by agents and lawyers throughout the country. I have conducted complex drug investigations that involve all aspects of investigative techniques, including but not limited to undercover, surveillance, and electronic eavesdropping. I presently teach the law of search, seizure, confessions, substantive criminal law, conspiracy, entrapment, deadly force, civil liability, and money laundering to advanced agents, supervisory agents, basic agents, domestic and foreign deployed intelligence analysts, diversion investigators, Foreign-deployed Advisory and Support Teams (FAST), DEA Country Attaches, other foreign deployed personnel, and state and local officers attending the FBI National Academy. I have briefed and instructed foreign law enforcement officers. I also teach the law of force to lawyers. I regularly take part in moot court exercises, playing the role of judge, prosecutor, or defense attorney.
