Daily Duties at U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development, And Engineering Center (Tardec):

Provide communications direction and strategic vision for a center responsible for researching and developing the Army’s ground vehicle systems and robots. Develop, brand and execute all marketing, promotional and collateral materials to drive Army-wide marketing initiatives for center’s 48 internal divisions, chief scientist and executive directors. Serve as corporate spokesperson and media lead, executing an aggressive media relations and outreach program. Provide editorial direction, scope and production supervision for accelerate Magazine, an Army automotive engineering and technology integration publication with a readership of more than 30,000 scientists, technicians and engineering professionals; lead executive-level editorial advisory board. Create and execute strategies to promote business and product lines at tradeshows, events and professional development workshops/seminars. Develop and manage a $6 million annual marketing and communications budget, as well as all printing, production and event planning and execution services.
