Daily Duties at Fed Ex Express:
Dangerous Good Agent: Received and inspected all dangerous goods shipments for proper packaging and paperwork as directed by FedEx Dangerous Good Administration in conjunction with the latest versions of the IATA, DOT, FAA, ICAO, OSHA and DG manuals and regulations and to store them appropriately aboard aircraft or trucks per proper shipping regulations. Brief pilots on the location of the Haz Mat container, location of all classifications of Dangerous Goods aboard the aircraft, and verify the proper selection and connection of the in flight, Halon Fire suppressant system. Conduct monthly Spill Clean-Up Cabinet and Internal Dangerous Goods Audits. Assist any of the market stations or district ramps with any additional DG Agent coverage or training. Conduct compliance checks and DG Package traces between the Kansas City market, the Memphis World Mega Hub, and the Indianapolis Hub. Member of the Safety Continuous Improvement Team (SCIT) that conducted monthly facility and operational safety audits and reported findings and suggested procedural changes to management for consideration. Location Environmental Coordinator: Conducted monthly Environmental Facility audits; monitored and maintained all paperwork for an on-going 5 year time span of all environmental spills, clean-ups, and waste removals Software training: Package shipping system Container movement system Auto DG (Dangerous Goods System) Warehouse package sorting system Aircraft Weight and Balance system Truck Dispatching system
