Daily Duties at American Campus Communities:

Manage residential complex, housing 676 students in separate 85 housing units at local university. Oversee maintenance, repairs and renovation of units. Negotiate contracts with outside service providers and vendors. Supervise cleaning and operation staff of twelve. Interact with residents to resolve conflicts and complaints. Coordinate promotional efforts to attract student residents, including special campus marketing events. Create operational budgets. Record transactions and maintain financial records. Deliver operations within established budget constraints. Perform collection activities regarding delinquent payments, including negotiating payment terms. Developed cost monitoring and control systems. Recruit, and instruct all employees. Devise employee development programs to enhance worker retention. Serve as company contact point for customer, university and third party communication. Complied with all applicable local, state and federal regulations, including Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
