Daily Duties at Planned Parenthood:

Medical management includes medical leadership for three nurse practitioners, eight medical assistants. I report to the center manager. Provide training for license and unlicensed staff on procotcol changes, new skills, protocol review,ensuring CLIA and competency compliance, staff resource for patient care,I am the first line of medical consultation and referrals, serve as liasion between clinic staff and physicains, clinic staff and administration for implementing changes in policy and proceedures. Participate in the interviewing and hiring of staff, evaluate staff on clinical skills and components and along with presenting annual evaluations. collaborate with center manager on performance evaluations. Attend and participate in leadership meetings including planning. Participate in community engagement health fairs,table talk with faith and secular communities projects,and serve on agency committees such as Advisory counsil to the CEO, African American Advisory group, Great Place to work, and multiple focus groups.Clinical resposibilities include Male and female physical exams, birth control counseling and furnishing, IUD, Implenon & Nexplenon insertion, Femcap and diaphram fittings, STI counseling & treatment, well-woman exams-pap smears, abnormal pap management, colposcopy, vulvar biopsy,endometrial biopsy interpreting & managing abnormal lab,and microscopy. Continous collaborations with staff to improve flow and meet patient care demands.
