Daily Duties at Theravance, Inc.:

Administrative support to the General and assistant Counsel, CFO, Controller, and backup support to the Information Technology and Informatics Department (IT&I). My duties entailed asisting with Board/Committee materials e.g., assembling, formatting, printing, and quality control of Board/Committee books. Assist with projects that may arise such as researching and planning events. Prepare documents and arrangements, including expense reports, travel arrangements, and disbursement requests for attorneys. Draft initial responses to incoming letters requesting general information. Assist in recruiting by scheduling interviews and preparing resumes for interviewees. Maintain documents in a database or other system for use by attorneys and other legal support staff. Assist with proofreading and filing of legal documents such as notes, memoranda, and briefs. Develop and maintain efficient filing systems to ensure files are maintained accurately, archived, and readily retrievable. I performed a variety of other duties and special projects as required and worked independently and with minimal supervision. Because of my strong organization skills and ability to multi-task, strong communication skills, and my personal initiative to work aggressively I was able to meet strict deadlines. In addition, this was possible because of my advanced working knowledge of MSOffice (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint) and technological savvy. Assist with development of general graphic designs to enhance technical proposals, including cover designs for proposals, marketing materials, presentations, etc. A high level of discretion and confidentiality for both business and personal affairs-Good judgment, strong common sense and excellent attention to detail and willingness to do what it takes to contribute to the success of the people I supported and the success of the company were key to my efforts on a daily basis.
