Daily Duties at Divi Carina Bay Resort, St. Croix:

Not having a Human Resources Manager in over five years, I processed payroll through ADP in a timely manner for 150 employees biweekly, in addition, kept employee files current and in compliance with the Labor law. Made sure that each employee who worked in the kitchen had a current food handlers card. Seek training with the fire department on Fire Extinguish for each manager, supervisor and two staff member per shift, and the entire maintenance staff. Provided support to all level of management on employee matters including change management initiatives, training, recruiting and hiring process. Provided training to both managers and supervisors in disciplinary action which allowed them to know how a written warning issued. Reviewed compensation matters in an easy yet creative manner. Solely planned activities to build employee moral such as beach parties, Christmas company parties with live band and unique gifts giving items, and conducted energetic monthly employee meetings which recognized staff members who were having a birthday with a slice of cake, cookies, brownies,fruits and juice. Also created an employee incentive plan which boosts employee commitment to the mission of exceeding Guest Expectation at the resort. The plan allowed employees their friends and family the opportunity to staff at the resort quarterly if they had no attendance and performance matters.
