• Created a corporate small business program for Blackwater Worldwide / Xe Services, where one had not previously existed. The program focused heavily on Veteran / Service Disabled Veteran Small Businesses. As the Corporate Small Business Officer, I fulfilled a commitment to advancing small business opportunities for veterans of the U.S. armed forces. • Conducted corporate training on small business compliance guidelines for all company personnel. • Kept abreast of all Federal and Small Business Administration regulations in regards to small business and procurement. Disseminated relevant changes or requirements that would have an impact on our current business practice. • Lead Xe’s Subcontract and Small Business Compliance program. • Lead the company’s effort to successfully pass our first Federal Contract Performance Review – 9/8/08. Passed all ISO requirements without any non-conformances, Dec. 2010. • Within a couple of months of taking on the Small Business Program, created a procedure for identifying, vetting, and classifying vendors and subcontractors. Since then, vendor forms, Lexis Nexis checks, and CCR (Central Contractor Registration) reports have become an integral part of our sourcing / subcontracting policy. • Independent Contractor (IC) – Created a corporate vetting and selection process for IC’s. • Lead the Logistics / Procurement Department in their efforts to identify and comply with pertinent FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and SBA (Small Business Administration) rules and regulations. • Conducted logistics / procurement-training sessions on the various systems used to identify, vet, and classify vendors and subcontractors. • Prepared and submitted Corporate Commercial Subcontracting Plans, which set the small business goals for the entire organization. We have met and / or exceeded our corporate goals for the past 2.5 years. • Conducted Quality Assurance audits to ensure pertinent departments were in complete compliance with FAR and SBA regulations and met all department / corporate objectives. • Represented the Company and its interests on various local and regional boards. Corporate Business communications and outreach. • Active member of the local and regional business community; Often assisting the various chamber organizations in their efforts promote and defend the interest of business in the Hampton Roads / North Carolina community. • Active participant in the local military business community; Participated in federal contract training and outreach programs that focused on Veteran / Service Disabled Veteran Small Business. • Promoted Xe / US Training Center’s programs to the local and national business community. Marketing Xe / US Training Center as the premier company for effective personal, military, and law enforcement training. Capitalizing off our corporate associations and community relations to advance the company’s business development needs and goals.
