Daily Duties at Montgomery County:

In charge of entire Montgomery County Tax Docket; schedules trial dates, manages continuances, nonsuits, appoints attorneys ad litem, processes judgments, excess proceeds, and works in conjunction with taxing entities to ensure fair and speedy case disposition of all tax cases. Schedules criminal, civil, family and tax cases for all court hearings and trial dates; handles all re-sets and responds to inquiries regarding case status, rulings, and pending motions that need to be set for hearing. Performs as a liaison between attorneys, general public, and pro-se litigants; notifying them of court dates, procedures and local rules. Sets and supervises special dockets for probation and revocation hearings, open pleas of guilty, pretrial matters, docket call and all civil and family matters; Temporary injunction hearings, foreclosures, and motions to modify. Assists Judge with rulings on Default Judgments, Motions for Substituted Service, Motion to withdraw, Motion to Substitute Counsel, non-suits and rule 11 agreements. Purchases supplies for the court, trains new employees and interns, E-files orders from the court, and assists Judge in the courtroom. Interacts with District Clerks, IT, District Attorneys, Defense Attorney's, Bond Persons, Probation, CPS, Sheriff’s Department, Media and Judges. Responsible for Judges entire schedule; court matters, meetings, political events, and CLE functions. Completed first year of PCP certification. Represent the court at various functions and political events.
