Daily Duties at Champlain Valley Union High School :
Analyzed student individualized education programs (IEPs) and performed accommodations. Attended and participated in IEP planning meetings. Provided direct care to high-needs students, supporting vision work, physical, occupational, speech and language therapies, hygiene, communication and daily living skills. Also supported in-class academics. Teach secondary school subjects to educationally and physically handicapped students. Includes teachers who specialize and work with audibly and visually handicapped students and those who teach basic academic and life processes skills to the mentally impaired. Day to Day: Arrived at 7:30am, met the children coming off the bus. I worked with 2 children most of my time there. They were both in wheel chairs. I feed them, changed their depends. We went swimming 2 days a week. It was great for the students to get out of their chairs and be free in the water. We would attending 2 intergraded classes everyday. We would have music class and work on specific challenges depending on the student.
