Daily Duties at Rosedale Farm And Vineyard :

Supervised the management, maintenance and ongoing upkeep of the farm/vineyard for two locations. Assisted customers, handled financial transactions, prepared store displays, monitored produce inventory and harvest. Day to Day: I picked veggies/fruits and corn. Corn was the major crop on the farm, butter and sugar (white/yellow) Silver Queen (white) and Super sweet (Yellow). I would get there early to organize displays and make the produce look enticing. My shifts either ran 630-1 or 2 or 11-6:30. If I left at 3, I usually came back for close. I managed the staff under me here at the farm. Staff arrived around 8:30a-1 or 2 or 2-6 or 6:30p. I worked through most of the shifts so, I was able to delegate work out evenly and so all tasks were able to get done during the day. P.S. This is all at the farm stand. 6:30-8a corn/peas/etc. picking. I starting working here when I was a freshman in high. I worked less hours, but I'm not sure if this should be listed on my resume. Basically 1997 or 8 until 2006. It's a seasonal job. When I came back in 2006, it was the 2nd year they started making wine. They won awards. I talked about the wines and preformed some of the tastings. I also was one of the only people that Marshall Epstein, the owner, trusted with the money. I counted the drawers at the end of the day. Also, there were times when deliveries needed to be made locally. I was also I big part of bringing local food to the community. (Restaurants/ other farms)

What they like about Rosedale Farm And Vineyard :

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
