Daily Duties at Anderson Merchandisers, Inc:

ICS Team Test Lead. I lead the testing efforts for all large projects for our team. This includes delegating testing tasks to between 2-4 people. This includes tracking the progress of other testers on my team, reporting statuses to our supervisor and estimating the testing time requirements, writing master test plans, writing test cases, writing test strategies, planning the implementation, coordinating the testing efforts and implementation efforts with those of other test leads for integration testing, system testing, etc. I also regularly assist the less experienced testers on my team with answers to their questions on anything from test plans to environment setup. I also regularly perform the tasks required to actually move the objects (programs, files, etc.) to production using Aldon Change Management System when working on large projects. I have written numerous user guides for a variety of audiences. I spent 6 straight months writing user guides for PHP programmers to use as the requirements for rewriting Lotus Notes Applications. I spent another year testing the new PHP programs before being moved to AS/400 testing, and EDI program testing. EDI program testing is an ongoing function of my job. Many times a programming change will affect a program that creates the data our EDI translator uses. This will require me to ensure that those files are not affected. Additionally, we implement new EDI Documents as they are requested by our new business partners. I also write detailed and user friendly user guides for the end users, which always include quick reference sheets, a glossary and a table of contents, all with embedded links for easing navigation through the user guide from one section to another. I am well versed in AS/400 commands. Additionally, I regularly do my own testing and documentation even when we are working on large interdepartmental projects. I regularly write SQL statements to verify the results of my testing. I am currently using Execute Query, but I have experience at Anderson Merchandisers with WinSQL, and Aqua Data Studio. I have been trained and have experience in writing Use Cases. I am also experienced in writing formal Report Specifications.
