Daily Duties at Abraxas Technologies, Inc:
Referred by friend and hired to overhaul accounting system in a startup Organization. Reporting to the CFO, designed chart of accounts and built accounting systems from group-level up. Converted from a manual accounting system to an automated system using Peachtree software. As the organization grew, managed follow-on project to convert to Oracle Financials, reducing personnel needs and enabling the use of an internet based data entry system. Developed credit policy and new collection procedures reducing A/R and cash operating cycle to eliminate long term debt. Partnered with sales force to institute job order costing and implemented profitable hourly rates for sales consultants. Contributed to due diligence research on more than 12 potential international and domestic acquisitions and startups. Supervised a $4 million dollar budget and a staff of 6.
